UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine announces second annual 'CommunityCare' grant

UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has announced the second annual "CommunityCare" grant offering up to $10,000 in funding for local, nonprofit 501(c)(3) agencies in the health and wellness sector.

"Our goal is to provide funding to local, nonprofit organizations who share our vision of compassion, innovation and collaboration in the health and wellness of Western New Yorkers," said Amanda Clark, physician relations and marketing manager for UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

The total grant amount of $10,000 will be divided amongst the recipients if more than one organization is chosen. Each application will be evaluated and selected for inclusion based on economic need, the mission of the organization, and goals for utilization of the funds.

Recipients of the "CommunityCare" program will receive grant funding to help further their programs in fields that align with the values of UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine: compassion, innovation and collaboration. Eligible applicants include nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations in health and wellness, sports and fitness, youth health and activities, and other relevant industries.

Organizations benefitting from previous "CommunityCare" grants include:

  • Curvy Girls of Western New York
  • Niagara Erie Youth Sports Association
  • Roswell Park Donor Center 

Interested organizations can fill out the application HERE. The submission deadline for "CommunityCare" grant applications is 5 p.m. Sept. 31. Organizations selected by UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine are scheduled to be announced by the end of October.
