Fatal crash in Porter

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office released details late Friday night and early Saturday morning on a fatal motor vehicle crash in the Town of Porter.

The driver of the westbound vehicle on Youngstown-Wilson Road, who was pronounced deceased at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, has been identified as Michael G. Willimot, 38 years old, of Wilson. The driver of the northbound vehicle on Dickersonville Road has been identified as Michael A. Buchalski II, 22 years old, of Wilson. The investigation is continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office's accident investigation unit.

On Friday, at approximately 6:09 p.m., the Niagara County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a two-car injury accident at the intersection of Youngstown-Wilson Road and Dickersonville Road. Upon arrival by deputies, two heavily damaged vehicles were located in the northwest corner of the intersection.

Preliminary investigation shows a northbound vehicle on Dickersonville Road passed through the stop sign at Youngstown-Wilson Road without stopping and struck a westbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC for treatment. The driver of the westbound vehicle was transported by ambulance to Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, where he was pronounced deceased.

The two juvenile passengers in the westbound vehicle were transported to Women and Children's Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
