Construction is currently underway for Wheatfield Commons, a 114-bed DePaul Senior Living Community for Williams Road.

The 55,000-square-foot complex is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2017.

"We look forward to playing a vital role in the lives of seniors and their families in Niagara County and providing the very highest quality services to those who will be in our care," said DePaul President Mark Fuller.

Units will consist of kitchenettes, a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Suites will feature a larger bedroom and a living and dining area. Residents in assisted living will also have access to lounges, dining areas, activity space, a bathing spa, beauty and barber shop services, a doctor's office and staff support areas. Calamar Land Development Corp. will oversee development of the project.

"We are very pleased to have been given the opportunity to build for DePaul's Wheatfield Commons assisted living community and that they have selected the Woodlands Residential Village for this important development. We've been working on this project for a very long time and it's wonderful to see it come to fruition," said Calamar Chairman and CEO Kenneth M. Franasiak. "DePaul Senior Living Communities provide the comforts of home and a commitment to enhancing quality of life, which aligns perfectly with our own organizational strategy to improve and invest in our senior communities. By DePaul expanding their services into Wheatfield, the community will have an excellent option for placing their loved ones in a supportive and homey setting."

All-inclusive rates include three nutritious meals approved by a registered dietician, medication assistance, and assistance with the activities of daily living as needed, including housekeeping, laundry and linen services.

In addition to Wheatfield Commons, DePaul currently services more than 1,700 seniors at four senior living communities in New York state, 14 in North Carolina and one in South Carolina.
