Niagara County Peach Festival seeking parade units

Jerald I. Wolfgang, chairman of the annual the Niagara County Peach Festival Parade, reports the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston is now seeking units for this year's parade.

The event will take place starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, on Center Street in the Village of Lewiston. The parade route will begin at the Red Brick Municipal Building, 145 N. Fourth St., and proceed on Center Street to Academy Park.

The annual parade will feature more than $2,000 in cash prizes. Trophies will be awarded to the outstanding school bands, senior bands, majorette units, fire companies, floats, drill teams and color guards.

Units wishing to march in this year's parade can visit www.lewistonpeachfestival.org for an application. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Aug. 30.
