The Town of Niagara kicked off its Music Mania Monday concert series Monday at Veterans Memorial Community Park.

The Eagles tribute band Hotel California performed on the town's new stage to around 1,000 concertgoers.

"It went great," Town of Niagara Supervisor Lee S. Wallace said. "We've probably had the biggest crowd we've ever had. And it wasn't even great weather. So we're anticipating it to be even better next week."

On hand was 97 Rock's Dave Jickster with a prize wheel, giveaways and trivia questions.

The next concert in the series is scheduled for Monday, June 20. Beatlemania Now, a Beatles tribute band, will perform.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. A 50/50 draw will also take place. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
