Youngstown: Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps to perform at Old Fort Niagara

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps will perform at Old Fort Niagara at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, as part of the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps' summer 2016 tour of New England.

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps consist of students, ranging in age from 12 to 18. Their members are from Plymouth, Michigan, and its surrounding communities. The corps prepares year-round for its annual performance seasons.

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps is self-supporting and dedicated to preserving the ancient arts of color guard, fifing and drumming through live performances at parades, historical and patriotic celebrations, concerts, cultural affairs and other civic events.

Old Fort Niagara (www.oldfortniagara.org) is located in Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown. It is a registered National Historic Landmark and New York State Historic Site operated by the Old Fort Niagara Association (a not-for-profit organization) in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
