The New York State Department of Transportation announced bridge maintenance is scheduled to begin next week on Interstate 190, in the City of Niagara Falls.

Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, I-190 southbound, between Interplant Road and Route 31, will be reduced to one lane.

This lane closure will be in effect through Thursday, June 30. It will be removed over the July 4th weekend, and will resume Tuesday, July 5, through Thursday, July 7.

Motorists are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
