Fitness at Canalside, presented by BlueCross BlueShield, expands to 25 classes
With summer approaching, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York has expanded Fitness at Canalside to feature a variety of 25 free fitness classes at Buffalo's waterfront.
Fitness at Canalside offers a broad range of classes that appeal to all ages and fitness levels. BlueCross BlueShield, the official sponsor of Fitness at Canalside, increased the selection to 25 different types of exercise classes (up from 15 in 2015).
Classes are held from sunrise to sunset throughout the week, and are led by the areas most recognized fitness coaches. Whether the goal is to try a new class, get a full body workout or retreat waterfront to relax, families, couples and friends can get fit together and share their experiences on social media through #BCBSFitness.
"Last year, we proudly watched as over 11,000 Western New Yorkers embraced and participated in Fitness at Canalside," said Julie Snyder, vice president, corporate relations, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, "By expanding the series and offering a greater variety of fitness classes this year, we're providing even more opportunities for the community to get active and healthy together."
The series kicks off with the summer's first Zumba class at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 7.
Fitness classes are free and open to individuals of all ages, regardless of fitness level or experience.
