The food. ... The kitchens and homes. ... The tablescapes. ... Don't miss the eighth annual Lewiston Region Tour of Kitchens, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4 and 5 in Lewiston and Youngstown.

Five entertaining and cooking spaces will be featured, and ticketholders will be treated to culinary samples created by chefs from area restaurants. The homes will also be paired with a retailer and/or decorator who will create tablescapes - an artful way to set a table for guests.

Attendees will get a taste from:

  • 755 Restaurant and Lounge
  • Legends Bar & Grille
  • Osteria 166
  • Hard Rock Cafe, Niagara Falls USA
  • The Barton Hill Hotel & Spa
  • David's Tea
  • DiCamillo Bakery
  • The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute

Tickets, $27, are available at all Wegmans locations until 4 p.m. Friday, June 3. Tickets are also available online at www.TourofKitchens.net. Any tickets still available after those times can only be purchased after 9 a.m. on the days of the event at the Tour of Kitchen's official tent located on the corner of Center and First streets in Lewiston.

Tickets are limited and this event is expected to sellout with pre-sale tickets. It is strongly recommended tickets be purchased in advance.

The Tour of Kitchens is a self-guided tour. The exact locations of the homes and all the details can be found in the program. Ticketholders will receive a program when they pick up a ticket and map after 9 a.m. on tour days at the Tour of Kitchens tent. More information and images of the featured homes are also available at www.TourofKitchens.net.

The Tour of Kitchens presenting sponsor is Kinetic Kitchen and Bath. Silver Spoon Sponsors are Elderwood, Judge Angelo Morinello for New York State Assembly, Hard Rock Cafe, Barton Hill Hotel & Spa, DiCamillo Bakery, The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and Wegmans - Niagara Falls.

Featured tablescapes will be designed by Adornment, Bridge Interiors, Le Creuset, Jillian Antecki & Ann White, Dianne's Floral, RTM Design & Interiors, Room Buffalo, Wishes Executed, Landscape Designs by Cat, Kyle Lynn Tuttle, Theresa Lorenti Original Designs, and Furnishings Buffalo.

Included in the ticket price is a wine sampling and dessert tasting at the Barton Hill Hotel featuring sweets from The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and DiCamillo Bakery.

The Youngstown Garden Club will feature "Youngstown in Bloom," a flower market and perennial sale at the Red Brick School House, 240 Lockport St. This event is open to the public. Guests will find perennials from members' gardens, culinary herbs and other garden items that will be available for purchase.

This event will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary will be on site selling its "I Want That Recipe" cookbook at each of the homes for $10. All proceeds will benefit future programs and equipment for the hospital.

The annual jewelry, home décor and culinary market will move back to the Barton Hill Hotel. Stop in any time from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to find vendors offering everything from unique jewelry pieces to kitchen tools to home accessories and delicious culinary items. This, too, is open to the public.

Ticketholders will also have the opportunity to view local artisan work at a new pop-up gallery, also located at the Barton Hill Hotel. Works made from different mediums by a dozen local artists will be on display and available for purchase.

In addition, the Barton Hill Hotel is offering a special Tour of Kitchens brunch on Sunday, June 5. Those attending the tour and brunch will receive a $5 discount on a tour ticket. The combo ticket must be purchased in advance and can be found by visiting www.tourofkitchens.net.
