It was tears for all Friday when Artpark & Company tweeted the July 19 Tears For Fears concert was postponed. On Monday, the Lewiston performing and visual arts venue announced a replacement headliner: Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Social media feedback suggested the Tears For Fears concert was a significant highlight of the summer concert season for Artpark patrons. On Thursday, the band tweeted a note that linked back to this message: "Tears for Fears' Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith regrettably announce today that they have to postpone their summer run of dates in the US to include theatres and festivals, due to family illness.

"The band says in a joint statement: 'It's with great disappointment that we have to postpone our US summer dates due to unforeseen and unhappy circumstances. We thank our fans for their understanding and hope to get back on the road soon.' "

Refunds for Tears For Fears will be processed automatically. Ticket buyers are asked to destroy their tickets.  Credit card charges will be refunded within five business days or a check will be issued by mail within 10 business days for any patrons who paid with cash or check.

Season package holders will not be impacted by this cancellation and will be issued tickets for the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at no additional cost. For any issues regarding refunds, contact the Artpark box office at 716-754-4375.

Tickets for Lynyrd Skynyrd will be $18 advance general admission ($23 week of show), $33 for front of stage (standing-room-only) or $33 reserved seating (chairs provided). These prices include a $1 fee for Lynyrd Skynyrd's charity of choice.
