The Lewiston Garden Club and the Niagara Chapter of Habitat for Humanity used their unique skills to help a new homeowner on Saturday
Members of the Lewiston Garden Club landscaped Habitat for Humanity's rehabbed house on 86th Street in Niagara Falls. With funds from their summer fundraiser, GardenFest, the club purchased and planted (in the rain!) shrubs and bushes. Members provided hosta, daffodils and peonies from their own gardens to plant in the front and side yard of the house.
This year's GardenFest will be held June 18-19 on Center Street in Lewiston.
Lewiston Garden Club members Judy Munzi, Barbara Landree, Ginger McNally, Paul and Tasia Fitzpatrick, Donna Larson and Gary Priat participated. Claudia Folsom, Rich Strong and Betsy Diachun from Habitat for Humanity were also on hand to help.
Habitat for Humanity is planning another rehab and a new house for the coming year.
