"Seasonings," a premier food and wine-tasting event held at the Aquarium of Niagara, returns Thursday, May 12. The event begins at 6 p.m. at 701 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls.
This year's fundraiser was moved from March to May because, "The weather is so unpredictable in March," Deputy Director Gary Siddall said. "We thought, 'Why not bring the event forward to a time of year when people can enjoy the aquarium and the food both inside and out?' "
In anticipation of launching the Aquarium's of Niagara's new Humboldt penguin exhibit and encounter classroom, two thirds of the viewing space has been transformed, with 20 new and/or updated exhibits. Guests can take a look at that, plus a new sea lion show, while enjoying music, food and wine, and taking home prizes.
Food selections will be provided by Hard Rock Cafe, Red Coach Inn, The Village Bake Shoppe, Dick & Jenny's Bake & Brew, Sheraton at the Falls, The Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q., Tony Roma's, Top of the Falls Restaurant, Legends Bar & Grill, The 755 Restaurant & Lounge and The Como. Wine tastings are from Long Cliff Winery and Victorianbourg Wine Estates. Certo Brothers Distributing, Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Buffalo and Coffee Pause will provide other beverages. Floral designs will be courtesy of Piccirillo's Florist.
General admission ticket prices are $55 per person/$100 per couple. Member tickets are $45 per person/$80 per pair.
