Team members at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center recently gathered to celebrate reductions in the time it takes to render care to ER1 Emergency Department patients. Initiatives such as accelerated patient registration and the assignment of dedicated triage nurses and fast-track physician assistants have resulted in a 51 percent improvement in door-to-triage time and a 41 percent reduction in the time it takes for patients to be seen by a physician or physician assistant.
