Registration is now open for 3rd annual Village of Lewiston event
Participants in the third annual "Amazing Grace Scavenger Hunt" on Saturday, May 7, will have the opportunity to meet and even interact with world travelers Max and Katie Bichler, 2013 finalists from "The Amazing Race" television show on CBS.
Max and Katie were newlyweds and stars of the show throughout the season, eventually finishing in second place. They will join participants along the course at the Scavenger Hunt in the Village of Lewiston that benefits Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
Registration is now open for teams and individuals for the third annual "Amazing Grace Scavenger Hunt" to benefit Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
The hunt, coordinated by the Mount St. Mary's Foundation, will take place throughout the Village of Lewiston starting at 4 p.m. A post-race party will be held at 6 p.m. inside the Lewiston Events Center.
Registration is $25 per person. Teams must be comprised of between four and 10 individuals.
The teams are provided with questions and clues, with answers found in businesses and various locations throughout the village. Points are awarded for correct answers and for visiting specific Lewiston locations. The winning team will receive $500.
In 2015, a team representing Cannon Design won the first-place prize.
Area residents Kate Cumbo and Allison Violante are co-chairs for the event, which attracted more than 15 teams and 150 participants in 2015. For more information on participation or sponsorship, call 716-298-2143.
Proceeds from "Amazing Grace" benefit Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
