Niagara University will hold its annual undergraduate research conference in the Gallagher Center at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29. The event, sponsored by the university's honors program, will showcase the original research of nearly 100 undergraduate students.

A wide range of projects will be presented, including studies on the therapeutic effect of berry extracts on individuals suffering from oral cancer, the use of curcumin-mediated photodynamic therapy in the treatment of cervical cancer, the visual acuity among different breeds of goldfish, the impact of paid and unpaid YouTube brand endorsements on consumer purchase intention, and how the possession of nuclear weapons impacts conflict.

Each of the research projects was conducted under the close, yearlong tutelage of Niagara University professors.
