Erie County Fair announces 'Happy Together' Tour

The Erie County Fair has announced the "Happy Together" Tour will perform inside the GUSTO Grandstand as part of the National Grid Concert Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11.

The "Happy Together" Tour brings six bands from the 1960s together in one exciting musical celebration. With 59 Billboard hits among these six headline acts, concertgoers will hear the biggest hits of that celebrated era.

The tour began in 1984 with mainstays The Turtles travelling across the U.S. and Canada. Various bands and acts have been added to the tour throughout the years and the tour itself took a hiatus, but reunited in 2010 to celebrate 25 years of the original tour.

Back at it again for the seventh consecutive year, the 2016 "Happy Together" Tour lineup is as follows:

The Turtles ft. Flo & Eddie - The signature headliners of the tour will also serve as musical hosts. The Turtles have sold more than 40 million records internationally and their hits include "Happy Together," "Elenore" and "It Ain't Me Babe."

Chuck Negron - Formerly of Three Dog Night, Negron brings his biggest hits to the stage, including "Joy to the World," "Shambala" and "Easy to be Hard."

Mark Lindsay - Formerly the lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders, he co-wrote all 16 of the groups top 20 hits, including "Kicks," "Hungry," "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" and many others.

The Cowsills - This family singing group was the inspiration for "The Partridge Family." Its known for hits such as "The Rain, The Park and Other Things," "Hair" and "Love American Style."

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap - The group is celebrating more than a half century of American pop music and hits such as "Woman, Woman," "Young Girl" and "Over You."

The Spencer Davis Group - New to the "Happy Together" Tour, this British band of the 1960s is best known for songs such as "Gimme Some Lovin," "I'm A Man" and "Keep On Runnin."

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7. Reserved seats will be $30 and general admission tickets are $25. Tickets may be purchased online via www.Tickets.com, by phone at 1-888-223-6000, or in person at the Fairgrounds main office. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets purchased prior to the day of the show include admission to the Erie County Fair on the day of the show.
