BNFF seeks volunteers

The Buffalo Niagara Film Festival is now seeking
volunteers, interns and festival directors (someone who is self-motivated,
creative and well-organized) for events taking place around the
Buffalo/Niagara Falls area from April 1-17.
Special highlights this year will be a comic-con
event, awards ceremony, fallen soldiers event, many celebrities and
high-profilers attending and presenting.
Volunteer/internship responsibilities include:
- Acting as a liaison between the film festival and festival
sponsors and organizers;
- Coordinating and running events with local theaters;
- Corresponding with filmmakers, production companies
and media outlets;
- Shooting, editing, designing and producing promotional
materials, videos and Web content; and
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the film
festival.
The festival director's responsibilities include:
- Overseeing volunteers and interns;
- Giving creative input;
- Working on everyday festival activities;
- Helping ensure the festival is successful and well
attended;
- Assisting organizers in creating an interesting and
appealing festival program, which may involve collaborating with a committee or
other people connected with the festival;
- Scouting and recruiting talent, themes and underlying
ideas for the festival;
- Being able to bring creative and new ideas to the
job.
