Sabres: Cal O'Reilly recalled from Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team recalled forward Cal O'Reilly from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

O'Reilly (age 29, 6'0", 191 pounds) has appeared in five games for the Sabres this season, recording one assist and two penalty minutes. In 44 games with the Americans this season, O'Reilly has 28 points (6 goals, 22 assists). His 22 assists are tied for the team lead.

A fifth-round pick (150th overall) in the 2005 NHL Draft, O'Reilly has appeared in 118 NHL games in parts of five seasons with the Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and Nashville Predators, logging 42 career points (13/29) and 14 penalty minutes.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward Justin Bailey from the Rochester Americans on Sunday.

Bailey (age 20, 6'3", 210 pounds) joins the Sabres for the second time this season after he played in four games for Buffalo earlier this month. In 49 games for the Amerks this season, Bailey ranks third in goals (10) and assists (16), including 14 points (5/9) in his past 10 games.

A Buffalo native, Bailey was selected by the Sabres in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft before finishing his OHL career with 148 points (76/72) in 168 games with the Kitchener Rangers and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
