Beginning Monday, Feb. 15, Explore & More Children's Museum will offer drop-in, themed, family activities every day during the school break week. Activities will be free to visitors with their membership or admission thanks to the sponsorship of M&T Bank.

This family fun week celebrates both Presidents Day and the Lunar New Year with a variety of activities, food, crafts and performances highlighting those holidays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, including:

Presidents Day

•Monday, Feb. 15: Kids can make their own voting card, vote on their favorite exhibit and then make ribbons to announce they have voted.

Lunar New Year Celebration

•Each day for the rest of the week will include Asian food sampling, language activities, origami envelope making, lantern making, daily themed crafts and an appearance on the museum floor by the Lion from the traditional Chinese Lion Dance, celebrating the Lunar New Year—Year of the Monkey.

•Tuesday, Feb. 16: Create a dragon puppet and put on a show.

•Wednesday, Feb. 17: Make a Chinese opera mask for the Year of the Monkey.

•Thursday, Feb. 18: Try your hand at pottery. Use the Zodiac symbols or Chinese characters to decorate your piece.

Friday, Feb. 19: Make some noise with your own spin drum. Also on Friday, a professional performance of the traditional Chinese lion dance by the Red Dragon School of Martial Arts will be held in the gym at 11 a.m.

"We value our longstanding partnership with M&T, and we are so grateful that they have helped make this week of fun possible for families across Western New York," said Douglas Love, Explore & More's CEO.

Celebrating its 22nd year in operation, Explore & More Children's Museum provides an environment for creative play and learning through hands-on exhibits, activities and programs that inspire creativity, curiosity and imagination.

Explore & More Children's Museum is currently located at 300 Gleed Ave., in East Aurora. It will relocate to the south aud block at Canalside on the Buffalo waterfront in 2018. For more information, visit www.exploreandmore.org or call 716-655-5131, ext. 11.
