One-on-one care consultations, chapter resources available

Getting a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia usually results in a number of questions. Those concerns, as well as suggestions to plan for future needs, will be addressed during a special evening open house at the Williamsville office of the Alzheimer's Association Western New York Chapter, located at 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, at the corner of Harris Hill in Williamsville.

Staff social workers and care consultants will be available after normal business hours, from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, to meet with families, care partners and anyone who has questions about the disease. Staff will be available to discuss care plans and share information about resources, managing behaviors and overcoming day-to-day challenges. Information about volunteer and advocacy opportunities will also be available during the open house.

Reservations are not required, unless a specific meeting time is requested. To make those arrangements, or to inquire about any of the chapter's resources, call 1-800-272-3900.
