43North has announced several updates to its board of directors.
William ("Bill") J. Maggio Jr. has been named chairman of the 43North board. Additionally, Eric Reich has been named to the board and will assume the role of vice chairman. Jordan Levy, former chairman, will remain a board member.
A health care, medical diagnostics and business investment executive, Maggio is president and CEO of Immco Diagnostics. Reich is one of Western New York's most notable entrepreneurs, as well as co-founder and president of Campus Labs.

43North is the world's largest business idea competition and awards $5 million in cash prizes to some of the best entrepreneurs and startups from around the world. 43North winners also receive free incubator space in Buffalo for one year, guidance from mentors in related fields, and access to other business incentive programs such as START-UP NY.
43North operates through the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "Buffalo Billion" initiative and grants of $6 million from the New York Power Authority and $1 million from Empire State Development.
