The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team is holding a game-worn jersey auction that is currently running on auction.NHL.com until 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
The jerseys available for bidding include set one of the game-worn jerseys from the 2015-16 season, highlighted by newcomers Jack Eichel and Ryan O'Reilly. Included in the set will be Eichel's first jersey worn in the NHL with a patch included on the jersey to commemorate his first NHL game.
The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York not-for-profit corporation, qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualified as a public charity. The Buffalo Sabres Foundation was established in 1995 and reinvigorated in 2011 following the acquisition of the Buffalo Sabres by Terry and Kim Pegula.
