Agents and staff from RealtyUSA's Tonawanda and Grand Island offices helped collect new pajamas, books and funds for the Buffalo chapter of The Pajama Program.

Items were collected throughout August and September for area children who are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter, and for others are waiting to be adopted. According to RealtyUSA, most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a parent tuck them in a bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story. These two simple gifts of pajamas and books let the children know that someone cares.

All collected items were delivered to the Amherst Center for Senior Services and together the effort gathered 150 pairs of new pajamas, 150 children's books and $150 in cash for the local chapter. The Buffalo chapter of The Pajama Program will distribute these items through agencies in the Buffalo area, including Cornerstone Manor, Baker Victory Services, Child and Family Services and the Salvation Army.

"We are very thankful for all the amazing donations, including so many pairs of cozy, warm pajamas and beautiful books to go along with them," noted Jenn Bishara, Buffalo chapter president of The Pajama Program. "You have given our kick off to the danger season a great start."
