It's that time of year again: Families are making a trip to the Wheatfield Pumpkin Farm to partake in seasonal hayrides, pumpkin picking and much more.

Wheatfield Pumpkin Farm owner Jim DeVantier, more commonly known as "Farmer Jim," has been offering community members this local festivity for 27 years.

"I've been doing it so long now, the little babies now are married and bring their children, so it's like we're in the second generation already," DeVantier said.

The Wheatfield Pumpkin Farm is located at 6920 Nash Road, Wheatfield. Visitors can come from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. until Oct. 30, with extended hours on "Haunted Hayride" nights, which allow visitors to ride amidst the farm where creepy characters lurk behind spooky décor.

Other activities offered include a mini corn maze, petting zoo and bounce house. Apple cider and popcorn also are available.
