Despite some uncooperative weather, the second annual Youngstown Arts and Music Festival was deemed a success Oct. 3. Presented in part by the Youngstown Business and Professional Association, the daylong event featured artisan tables, author signings, children's activities and entertainment.

"In spite of inclement weather, the show did go on," YBPA President Cheryl Butera said. "Marcia Jones was the main coordinator and YBPA was happy to help her get the word out."

The Village of Youngstown was the main sponsor for the event. Anchor Spirits purchased the tent for the event, and author Jeanne Treat donated her signed books for the raffle. All proceeds went to benefit HART Inc.

Butera reports next year's event will take place Oct. 1.

"And we'll have a lot more tents" per Marcia Jones, Butera said.
