'Eastman Presents' Concert Series continues with a sold-out performance by Kristin Chenoweth

Tony and Emmy Award-winning singer and actress headlines this season's concert series

The Eastman School of Music is proud to present Kristin Chenoweth for a sold-out performance in Rochester tonight. Expected to be a highlight of the "Eastman Presents" series, the Tony and Emmy Award winner's performance will be at 8 p.m. inside the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

"We are honored to have such an incredibly versatile and accomplished talent like Kristin Chenoweth as a headliner of the 'Eastman Presents' series," said Keith C. Elder, director of concert activities at Eastman School of Music. "It's going to be a special and spectacular night."

A world-renowned singer and actress, Chenoweth's career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. As a veteran of the concert stage, she has performed to sold-out crowds in concert halls across the globe. Each show Chenoweth performs is a little different; fans can expect a unique experience, as well as a surprise special guest.

Other upcoming performances through the "Eastman Presents" series include Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra; "Underground Railroad: A Spiritual Journey" with soprano Kathleen Battle and pianist Cyrus Chestnut; Eastman Wind Ensemble with banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck; and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra with conductor Peter Oundjian and pianist Angela Hewitt. Chenoweth has earned standing ovations from sold-out crowds in Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House and venues around the world, and has built a career that also encompasses film, television and recordings. She won a Tony for "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," while her movie appearances include roles in "The Pink Panther," "Deck the Halls," "Bewitched," "Running with Scissors" and "The Boy Next Door." On television, Chenoweth was seen in an Emmy-winning role on "Pushing Daisies" as well as in "Glee," "The West Wing" and PBS specials. Her concert performance, "Kristin Chenoweth: Coming Home," was released as a CD and DVD.

The "Eastman Presents" Concert Series first launched in the 2014-15 season through Eastman School of Music. The series of monthly concerts features international artists from a variety of musical genres at Eastman Theatre's Kodak Hall.
