The Buffalo Sabres announced Wednesday the team will implement the use of walk-through magnetometers as part of an NHL initiative at all entrances to First Niagara Center for the 2015-16 season. This new security measure is designed to provide a safer environment for patrons and employees and will replace handheld wands as the primary screening device at First Niagara Center.

Guests will have to place their cell phones and cameras on a security table prior to walking through the metal detector. Guests will not have to remove shoes, belts, coins or most jewelry. To help expedite the process, all fans are advised to arrive at the arena early and to bring only what they absolutely need for the game.

The First Niagara Center bag policy, code of conduct and prohibited items policy remain the same and can be found at www.firstniagaracenter.com.
