The Town of Lewiston Highway Department will hold an electronics-recycling day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the department garage, 1445 Swann Road. The event is open to Town and Village of Lewiston residents only.

Unwanted electronics items acceptable for recycling include TVs, DVD players, computers, printers and fax machines, microwaves and small kitchen appliances, along with lamps, hair dryers, window fans and hand-held power tools.

Items that will not be accepted include window air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, light bulbs and batteries, or any hazardous materials such as paints, chemicals, liquids or powders.

There is no cost or disposal fee. This is a free service provided to all Lewiston residents, who are requested to furnish a valid ID or a copy of a utility bill showing residency.

For further information, contact Lewiston Highway Superintendent Doug Janese at 716-213-3679.
