Community Missions will hold its 2015 art auction Friday, Sept. 18, at the Sheraton at the Falls. This biannual event aims to raise awareness and funds for the agency programs and the marginalized population it serves. The event continues Community Missions' yearlong celebration of its 90th anniversary.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a preview of the artwork. During this time, guests can view the art, purchase basket and raffle tickets, visit the cash bar and enjoy hors d'oeuvres. Following the preview hour, Marlin Fine Auctions will auction off more than 100 pieces of art in all media and price ranges. Artists represented in previous years included Chagall, Dali, Picasso, Rockwell, Tarkay and Warhol.

Tickets are $20 per person or two for $30. Event proceeds benefit the agency's crisis services programs, which include the community soup kitchen, food pantry and emergency housing shelter. In addition, sponsorship and program ads are available and basket donations are greatly needed and appreciated.

For more information on how to become a sponsor, donate a basket or purchase tickets, contact Andrea Gray at 716-285-3403, ext. 2225, or [email protected]
