A new citizens' group called Town Citizen and Residents for Good Government will host a candidates' forum from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Calvin Richards Community Center, Veterans Park, Lockport Road, Niagara Falls.
Candidates running for two town board seats include Sam Gatto, Robert McDermoth, Richard Sirianni and Don Schildhauer. All will attend.
Residents who plan to come to the forum must call 716-285-5426 to reserve a seat or submit a question to be asked. Seating is limited to 90 people.
Former Niagara Falls Mayor Vince Anello will be the moderator.
The group's mission is to focus on concerns of residents and, through meetings and dialogue, focus on problem-solving and short- and long-term resolution. It seeks transparency from candidates seeking public office.
