Tin Pan Alley and The Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q. will each host a special end of summer happy hour, re-named "Yappy Hour," over the Labor Day weekend to help raise funds for the continuous work of volunteer animal rescue organization Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue.

The "Kiss The Dog Days of Summer Goodbye Yappy Hours" will take place from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Tin Pan Alley, 775 Cayuga St., Lewiston; and from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at The Brickyard, 432 Center St., Lewiston.

A portion of "Yappy Hour" sales will be donated to the rescue. There also will be a basket auction and other games. HON board members and volunteers will be present to meet and greet the public and to answer questions about adoption, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, the rescue has adopted out more than 335 animals. HON operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.
