This past Monday, the Erie County Fair was informed by Creative Artists Agency that the Meghan Trainor "MTrain Tour" concert, scheduled for Aug. 13 at the Erie County Fair, was to be cancelled. The announcement stunned both fair officials and fans alike, and followed last month's cancellation of the Little Big Town show. Both performances were cancelled due to ongoing artist medical concerns.

The EC Fair's ticketing partner, Tickets.com, has announced the face value of each ticket purchased will be refunded by Friday, Aug. 14. As disclosed at time of purchase, service fees and convenience fees will not be refunded.

As a result of these two unprecedented concert cancellations that occurred outside the control of the Erie County Fair, management is offering each ticketholder one free gate admission per concert ticket purchased to any remaining day of the fair (through Aug. 23). Customers are asked to bring their original Meghan Trainor and/or Little Big Town tickets to any gate to gain the free EC Fair gate admission.

"We appreciate the patience and understanding of the ticketholders to these shows," Fair CEO and Manager Dennis Lang said. "The fair acknowledges the disappointment and inconveniences occurred due to these artist cancellations. We hope through the offer of gate admission that fans will still enjoy the fair."
