Wings Flights of Hope fundraiser planned

Every year, the incumbent Niagara County Peach Queen, sponsored by the Lewiston Kiwanis Club, chooses an organization that has special meaning to her and hosts a fundraiser for the group.

The current Peach Queen, Christine Oliveri, has chosen Wings Flights of Hope.

"As an aspiring medical professional myself, the service they provide to families seeking the best medical care they can receive appealed to me," Oliveri said. "Wings Flights of Hope provides free transportation to patients and their families to any medical facility in the country. Wings was started by Joe DeMarco and his family right here in Western New York."

The fundraiser will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. July 26 at the Wheatfield Community Center, 2800 Church St. There will be a basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle, a Chiavetta's lunch (included in admission) and music. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

Donations of any size are appreciated. For more information or to make a donation, call 743-0624 or email [email protected]. For more information on Wings, visit www.wingsflight.org.
