Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue at Clyde's Feed & Animal Center Saturday

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs Sonny, Cher, Dreyfus and Pepper from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 1, at Clyde's Feed and Animal Center, 3972 Lockport-Olcott Road, Lockport (Wrights Corners). The public is encouraged to stop by and visit the dogs, find out about the adoption process, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

The rescue's next volunteer meeting is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Raintree Island Apartments, 103 Raintree Island, Tonawanda. It will double as an adoption event. Meetings are open to the public and new volunteers are always welcome.

HON will be present with adoptable dogs during Raintree's monthly food truck/concert night to answer questions about the adoption process, volunteering and upcoming events.

Information about for HON's fall chicken barbecue, to be catered by Krolick's Barbecue in September, will be available. Tickets can be purchased for $10 pre-sale.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. To date, volunteers have adopted out more 330 animals. The agency operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.
