North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas, Congressman Brian Higgins, State Sen. Robert Ortt, Assembly members John Ceretto and Robin Schimminger and other local officials are scheduled to rededicate the Frederick B. Durkee Memorial Bridge, which spans over the Little River from River Road to Tonawanda Island. The event is slated for 2 p.m. Monday on the Tonawanda Island side.

The Durkee Bridge, which is the only bridge structure owned by the City of North Tonawanda, just completed a $2.4 million rehabilitation project with many significant improvements.

Funds for this rehabilitation project were provided from the federal, state and city governments. Representatives will join Pappas in the rededication of the bridge.
