Kiwanis Club of Lewiston President Marty Pauly has announced Gerry Gismondi has been named chairman of the 2015 Niagara County Peach Festival.

The 58th annual Peach Festival will be held September 11-13 at Academy Park on Center Street in Lewiston.

Gismondi has been a member of the Lewiston Kiwanis Club for four years and served as vice chairman of the Niagara County Peach Festival in 2014. He has also served as chair on the parking and shuttle committee.

A native of Lewiston, Gismondi is a commercial real estate agent and property manager. He graduated from Canisius College with a degree in marketing and has worked in the real estate field for the past 15 years. Gismondi currently resides in Lewiston with his wife, Priya.

The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston sponsors the Niagara County Peach Festival, and will again this year feature peach shortcake made with locally grown peaches from Bittner Singer Orchards. The Niagara County Peach Festival also will feature 40 carnival rides, a peach recipe competition, 22 food vendors, Peach Blossom and Peach Fuzz contests, a Saturday parade, a cheerleading contest, 5K run, live entertainment and the popular Peach Queen pageant.

Since 1958, the Peach Festival has raised nearly $1 million for local charities. The event is sponsored this year, in part, by WGRZ-TV and the Buffalo News.
