Signature thrill acts will run July 1-Aug. 23 in Seneca Square

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is planning to raise the bar in a big way this summer. The resort destination announced Monday it will host a series of three outdoor attractions performed by the Espanas, a world-renowned fifth-generation circus family. Visitors will marvel at the spectacle, high-flying stunts and on-the-edge danger of the Skywheel, Motorcycle Thunderdome and High Wire Motorcycle, each sure to draw visitors starting Wednesday, July 1.

"Seneca Niagara and Niagara Falls are both synonymous with thrills and excitement," said Audrey Oswell, chief operating officer at Seneca Gaming Corp. "The adrenaline rush that our guests will experience this simmer - inside the resort and watching the unbelievable aerial feats of these outdoor attractions - will rival the rush of the Falls themselves. It's going to be incredible."

The outdoor attractions, being presented in partnership with Farrington Entertainment & Productions of Las Vegas, will be presented Wednesday-Sunday through Aug. 23. Show times (weather permitting) are 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Each act will be presented free of charge in Seneca Square, the large self-park parking lot located outside the Fourth Street entrance to Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

Skywheel

First up will be the Skywheel, which will run for two weeks, starting July 1. Also known as the "Wheel of Death," the rotating double-wheel features two acrobats delivering heart-stopping moves while the wheels are in motion, taking them up to 30 feet above the ground. The crowd will marvel as the performers run, jump and hang onto the outside of the wheel with each death-defying rotation.

Starting July 15, the roar of multiple motorcycles will rip through the air when the Motorcycle Thunderdome rolls into town for a three-week stint. This high-thrills act will feature two to three motorcyclists weaving seemingly impossible patterns around the inside of the steel globe, narrowly missing one another in the process. The act concludes with one person standing in the center of the globe while the other motorcyclists whirl around him.

High Wire Motorcycle

Finally, beginning Aug. 5, motorcycles, tightropes and acrobatics converge, when the High Wire Motorcycle attraction takes center stage for a three-week run to close out the season. Spectators will hold their breath as a motorcyclist traverses a 150-foot long, 40-foot high wire, as an aerialist hangs below. Each second leading up to the unbelievable finish, which includes a 360-degree sideways spin of the motorcycle and the aerialist, will leave the crowd on the edge of its seat.

The public is encouraged to attend and to arrive at Seneca Niagara early for optimal viewing. For more information, visit www.SenecaCasinos.com.
