ECHDC announces success of summer concerts will bring updates to Canalside

New signage and additional food vendors will be added for tonight's Arkells concert 

Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. today highlighted the success of the recent concerts held at Canalside. Last week's first free Thursday night concert attracted nearly 15,000 people. The dance-pop duo Matt and Kim drew an enthusiastic crowd.

As of tonight, new upgrades have been made to enhance the concert experience for visitors. The number of restrooms, food vendors, cashiers and tents has been increased to help minimize the long lines. New signage will be on display to help reinforce the smoke-free zone at Canalside. There will be 20 no-smoking dark blue lawn signs to enforce this regulation. In addition, a map will be provided of the new location of food vendors - on the periphery of the site, so areas do not become overly congested.

ECHDC, along with the staff at Global Spectrum, is constantly working to upgrade the overall experience for visitors.
