Explore & More Children's Museum returned for an eighth season at Canalside last week. Free family outdoor fun continues from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Friday through Sept. 4.

This year, the museum is adding free outdoor summer programming at Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls from 1-4 p.m. most Saturdays, beginning June 27.

Sponsored by Wegmans Food Markets and General Mills, "Family Fun Friday" programs will include outdoor family activities on the Canalside lawns, including: soccer play with FC Buffalo, "Weather Wise," "Pirates of the Queen City," "Flutterballs," making music, fish, Haudenosaunee Day of Sharing, and Building.

Explore & More's Saturday programs at Old Falls Street will offer the same themes. Programming details and notes can be found on the museum's website: www.exploreandmore.org.

"We look forward to our summer programming at Canalside each year and have been thrilled by how much attendance has grown in the last few years," said Barbara Leggett, executive director of Explore & More. "Getting children and families active and moving together is a goal we share with Wegmans and General Mills."

"Explore & More's outdoor family programming at Canalside is a natural fit for us," said Mike Keating, Wegmans' senior vice president of the Buffalo division. "We are happy to grow this partnership that will mean so much to families in Buffalo, including our own employees and their children."

Wegmans Food Markets Inc. is an 84-store supermarket chain with stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
