Clifford the Big Red Dog to appear at Niagara Falls events

Through the years, children throughout the world have enjoyed the popular book and television character Clifford the Big Red Dog. Next weekend, the children of Niagara Falls have an opportunity to meet Clifford in person as he makes appearances at events in the city.

Each appearance is sponsored by Community Missions, and is free and open to the public.

From noon until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, Clifford will visit the Community Missions' Kids Cafe in the Community Room at 1590 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. A Clifford story will be read, followed by an appearance from Clifford himself and a book raffle.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 15, Clifford will attend a Clifford-themed family night held at the Niagara Falls Public Library, 1425 Main St. This event will include story time, a meet-and-greet with the guest of honor, and additional themed activities.

Photos taken of Clifford with children will be welcome at both events and parents or guardians will be expected to remain with children. The Community Soup Kitchen will be open to all from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. June 13 for those who would like lunch.
