Over the past months, the Erie County Fair has been announcing the concerts that make up the National Grid Concert Series inside the GUSTO Grandstand. The Fair is excited to finalize the lineup by introducing two more free concerts:

•On Friday, Aug. 14, following the firefighters parade, POISON'D! The Ultimate Poison Tribute Band, and world-famous Mötley Crüe tribute "RED, WHITE & CRÜE" will perform at 8:30 p.m.

Guests will be treated to the music of two of the 1980s most popular rock bands. Both Poison and Mötley Crüe were part of the "hair band" era, where a heavy metal sound was blended with pop lyrics and a look that reverted back to the '70s. POISON'D and "Red White & CRÜE" will be fully costumed and ready to rock.

•On Tuesday, Aug. 18, Blue Öyster Cult will take the stage at 8 p.m. The band was formed in the 1960s on Long Island and became one of the first hard rock/heavy metal bands to achieve mainstream acclaim and commercial success. The band's peak years were 1972-81, when it released hits such as "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," "Godzilla" and "Burnin For You." Throughout the years, the band has sold more than 24 million records worldwide. Blue Öyster Cult continues to make new music that edges closer to classic rock than heavy metal.

These final concert announcements are added to a lineup that includes:

  • 3 Doors Down with Collective Soul, 8 p.m. Aug. 12 (ticketed event)
  • Meghan Trainor, "The M-Train Tour," with special guests Life of Dillon and Charlie Puth, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 (tickets)
  • Night Ranger, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 15 (free)
  • Little Big Town with David Nail and Ashley Monroe, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 16 (tickets)
  • Alabama, 8 p.m. Aug. 17 (tickets)
  • The Spinners, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 (free)

All free concerts are included with admission into the Erie County Fair. Concert tickets for the others are on sale now via ecfair.org, by phone at 1-888-223-6000, or at the event center box office on the fairgrounds. Concert tickets purchased in advance include admission to the fair on the day of the show.
