For the second consecutive year, the world-famous Clydesdales will be part of the excitement at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino for Memorial Day weekend. The eight Budweiser Clydesdales, complete with a hitch, carriage and Dalmatian dog, will be available for public viewing and photos outside Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24.

Prime opportunities for viewing will take place around Seneca Square, in front of the Fourth Street entrance to the casino. A full hitch with eight horses will depart from Seneca Square, travel around the perimeter of the resort, onto Duggan Drive and Third Street, down Old Falls Street to First Street before heading back to Seneca Niagara.

According to the Budweiser Clydesdales website, the Clydesdales first made an appearance in 1933 and "heralded a new era of prosperity for Anheuser-Busch." They are "the living embodiment of America's great industrial spirit" and a perennial fan-favorite among Super Bowl television ads. To qualify for one of the traveling hitches, each member of the team must stand at least 72 inches at the shoulder when fully mature, weigh between 1,800 and 2,300 pounds, have a reddish brown (bay) coat, four white legs, a white blaze, and a black mane and tail.

The public is encouraged to arrive at Seneca Niagara early for optimal viewing and interaction. Along with the iconic "gentle giants," guests can enjoy a festive atmosphere, including food and beverages stands. For more information, visit www.SenecaCasinos.com.
