Lee S. Wallace has announced his re-election bid for the position of supervisor in the Town of Niagara this year. Wallace is a lifetime resident of the town and, prior to being elected supervisor, was an employee of the Town for over 40 years.

"I am humbled and honored to be your town supervisor and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead," he said. "My promise to you is that we will continue to work hard to make the Town of Niagara an excellent place to live, work and play. We will be creative, responsive and respectful in providing innovative and cost-effective services to our community, residents and businesses."

Wallace said, "My No. 1 goal is to be recognized as one of the most progressive and desirable communities in Western New York. We will strive to provide services, programs and facilities that offer an enriching environment for children, adults and senior citizens alike and encourage outstanding companies to want to do business here. I will continue to have an 'open door' policy and a transparent government, and I will continue to take personalities out of the decision-making process.

"I am committed to this community and dedicated to its future. Improving and upgrading our neighborhoods, as well as keeping our families and communities safe, are a must. I value our fire and police departments, and will support their efforts and needs in every way possible.

"I am in the early stages of developing a long-term strategic master plan, which will define our 'vision' and provide clarity and direction, as well as establish building blocks for the future as we move into the next decade and beyond. We will need to be fiscally creative as we search for alternative revenue sources and be flexible enough to embrace an ever-changing and growing community. In order to accomplish these goals, I am asking our residents to give me four more years to finish the job I've started."
