Board of Education President

The Board of Education wishes to thank the Lewiston-Porter community for coming out to vote and for overwhelmingly supporting our budget. Chris Roser and Patti Grupka worked very hard with our board to craft this budget and we believe it provides Lewiston-Porter with the most "bang for its buck," to use the age-old phrase. Education is a priority in our community and the support for our schools speaks to this commitment.

We also wish to congratulate Mike Skowronski, Cindy Duke and Marcia Dorian, our newly elected board members. Mike returns for a second three-year term. Cindy will serve her own three-year term, having served since September. Marcia Dorian will serve a two-year term, which represents the remaining term left vacant by the passing of Keith Fox last year.

As president, I am excited to welcome Marcia and retain Mike and Cindy. I look forward to the next year. Thank you to Lance McGlynn and Gabby McCann for introducing themselves to our community.

And thank you to Mollie Lucas for her service and dedication to Lewiston-Porter. As our lone Lew-Port alumnae, she brought a wealth of history and knowledge. Professionally, Mollie works tirelessly for children and families, and she did so also as a board member. She has been an asset to us and will be missed.
