The New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation have announced the new roundabout that is part of the "Riverway" project will be operational and opened to traffic by this Friday. The roundabout is located at the intersection of the Robert Moses Parkway and John B. Daly Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls.

The opening of the roundabout will allow for vehicular access to be restored to the entrance to Niagara Falls State Park and on the southbound lanes of the Robert Moses Parkway between John B. Daly Boulevard and Interstate 190.

Motorists are advised to continue to exercise caution in this area, given the new roundabout traffic pattern and the continuation of construction activities through June 2016.

Motorists are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
