The Air Force Reserve's 914th Airlift Wing Airman & Family Readiness Center will host a large-scale Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 4 and June 5, for reserve members stationed at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station and their families.

The goal is to provide reservists and their family members with a diverse offering of quality employment, ranging from entry-level to professional. Another goal is to have 100 employers in attendance.

The base is expecting maximum participation from the approximately 1,300 reserve members during the Career Fair. The reserve population is drug-free and possesses a thorough background check and security clearance from the U.S. government.

A reservist's commitment to the Air Force is one weekend per month and two weeks per year. When not on Reserve duty, they are employed by the civilian sector. The force is comprised of entry level to highly skilled and professional individuals who can enter the workforce with identifiable and transferable skills, proven in real-world situations.

The base is seeking local area and nationwide employers from all sectors of business to participate in the opportunity to hire these qualified individuals. There is no cost.

To reserve a space at the Career Fair, contact Megan Calero at 716-236-3214 or email a completed application to [email protected].

The deadline for employers to sign up for the event is Friday, May 22.
