The Bond Lake Park Environmental and Beautification Committee invites area residents to participate in a spring bird walk from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16, at Bond Lake Park.

Visitors are requested to gather from 9-9:15 a.m. in the Nature Center at the rear of the warming house. There will be opportunity for visitors to mingle with other birders and view various mounted bird species indigenous to this area. Species identification will be discussed at this time.

At 9:15 a.m., there will be a guided bird walk. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and a
camera to get a "bird's eye view" of some of the wildlife in the park.

Sponsored by the committee, the birding event is free and open to the public. It ends at 11 a.m. and will be cancelled in the event of rain.
