Craig William Wood, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Grand Island, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Harrisburg. He was 63. Craig was born on April 13, 1951, in Buffalo to the late William and Fay Wood.

A unique soul, Craig lived life by his own rules. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. He fed his passions for history, nature and competition with a voracious appetite for reading, bonsai and landscaping and years of Dungeons and Dragons strategies, and he never entered a game (especially golf) in which he didn't fully give 100 percent of himself. His words were often few, yet profound and his humor never failed to hit the mark. His keen mind and sharp wit knew no match and he took particular joy in sharing it all with his wife and soul mate.

Craig is survived by his wife Tina, stepchildren Mark (Melinda) Shimer of Baldwinsville, and Kristyne (Tom) Rosier of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, brother Keith (Wende) Wood, and sisters Brooke (Rod) Raham, Darcey Golde, and Amy (Steve) Morgan, niece Jennifer (Tim) Cramer, nephews Christopher Golde, Gregory Golde, Abram Morgan, Aaron Wood, grandnephew Peyton Golde, and grandniece Madison Cramer, all of Grand Island, and grandchildren Aslan and Berin Basol of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, and Soren and Tegan Basol, and Nikita, Lila and Marley Rosier of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.

Visitation, service and burial with full military honors will be held Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 10 a.m. at Paxton Presbyterian Church, 3500 Sharon St., Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
