Friends of the NT library plans 39th used book sale

The Friends of the North Tonawanda Public Library announced it will hold its 39th annual used book sale April 29 through May 3. The sale will be held at the NT Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.

The sale is open to the public starting April 30. Members of the Friends of the Library group can shop early from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 29.

Starting Saturday, May 2, the bag sale will begin. Bring a brown paper bag and fill it up with books for $5. The bag sale will continue on Sunday, May 3.

Book sale prices are $2 for hardcovers; $1 for paperbacks; 50 cents for Harlequin-type paperbacks; 25 cents or five for $1 for magazines; 25 cents for records, audiocassettes and VHS tapes; and $1 for CDs and DVDs. Coffee table books will be priced accordingly.

The sale hours are as follows:

•Wednesday, April 29 - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (Friends members only)

•Thursday, April 30 - 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

•Friday, May 1 - 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

•Saturday, May 2 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

•Sunday, May 3 - 1 to 4:30 p.m.
