The 2015 Hope Chest Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival will take place Saturday, June 13, at Baird Point at the State University of New York at Buffalo North.

All proceeds benefit Hope Chest of Buffalo. Luminina, operating as Hope Chest, is a local 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides free exercise and nutrition classes, emotional support and paddling training for breast cancer survivors.

Registration is limited to 60 teams comprised of corporate, community and breast cancer teams from all over North America. Many teams have already committed to this event. Organizers anticipate team registration to continue to fill quickly due to the increased interest from both out-of-town and local teams, as this event has grown in size and popularity.

Find team registration, sponsorship and additional details at www.hopechestbuffalo.org, the Hope Chest Dragon Boat Team Facebook page, or contact Susan Gately at [email protected].

Baird Point boasts a Greek-style amphitheater overlooking Lake LaSalle. The campus has ample parking and many amenities that create a festive environment and ideal location for the annual race and festival. Spectators and teams will take note of the abundant viewing areas, vendors and large concession area. Raffles, refreshments and children's activities will be available.

This is a free event for spectators.
